Why include a typing certificate?

Many job listings — especially data entry, customer service, transcription, and administrative roles — explicitly ask for proof of typing speed. A timestamped certificate from a credible test is a credible signal you actually hit the WPM you claim.

Is this certificate official?

It's a self-issued certificate based on a real, transparent test — not an accredited credential. For accredited certifications, look at services like Ratatype Pro or Typing.com's teacher certifications. For most job applications, a self-issued certificate is sufficient evidence.
