AZERTY typing test

AZERTY is the standard layout in France and Belgium. Swaps Q↔A and W↔Z compared to QWERTY, plus a different punctuation arrangement.

Take the AZERTY test

Use the standard typing test — it works with any physical keyboard layout you've configured on your OS. Your typing accuracy is measured against the characters you type, not the layout.

Why does the layout matter?

Different layouts optimize for different things — QWERTY for compatibility, Dvorak for finger efficiency, Colemak for an easy migration path, AZERTY for French language conventions. Your raw WPM after mastering any of them is usually within 5–10 of QWERTY.
